Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what Examiner's Desk (“we,” “us”) collects, why, and your choices. Examiner's Desk is a training simulator built on 100% synthetic data. We do not collect, store, or process Protected Health Information (PHI) or any real patient, member, or claim data.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you create an account.
- Learning activity: the scenarios you attempt and whether your answers were correct, so we can show your progress.
- Billing information: if you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer reference and your plan status — we do not store full card numbers.
- Inquiry information: details you submit through the pilot-request form (name, work email, company, role). Please do not include any member or claim data.
2. How we use it
To provide and personalize the service (saved progress, plan entitlements), to communicate about your account and pilots you request, to process subscriptions, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Service providers
We use a small number of processors to operate: Railway (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), and an email provider for transactional messages such as password resets. Each processes data only to provide its service.
4. Data retention & your rights
We keep account data while your account is active. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can delete your account from your account settings, which removes your profile and learning history. Subscriptions are managed through the Stripe customer portal.
5. Security
Passwords are hashed, traffic is encrypted in transit, and entitlement state is enforced server-side. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
6. Not affiliated; not advice
Examiner's Desk is educational and illustrative only. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by any health plan or insurer, and it is not official adjudication guidance.
